My son Wyatt is leaving for Basic Training and AIT Mon. He is going to go to Southeast Missouri State on a ROTC scholarship in Dec. He turned 18 on Thursday and went out and bought himself an AR.

There is a tick and a chigger behind every single blade of grass on that god forsaken base and the weather will be wonderful in August .
He'll have the time of his young life!
31A?

Tell him to not buy a multi-tool at the PX with his first paycheck like all the other privates do. I guess it is some kind of right of passage because they all do it.
I have a drawer full of them bought by privates who found out at the last minute they couldn't fly with them and just gave them to my children.
Be glad to send one to your boy!
Make sure that you go to his graduations. It is important.
Cheers,
Byron

Byron, thanks for the offer. He has had on for a couple years and took it with him. We live in MO, so no flights needed. He is going to be an MP, so they only get 1 graduation when they complete AIT.
That's great, Tom! Congratulations to you and Wyatt.
