I didn’t own a TV set for about 10 years, maybe longer. When I got married my wife wanted one, and when the kids came along it seemed like a good idea to have one.

However, we noticed that the kids were obsessed with the d@mn box, especially the ads. So we closed our cable account and switched to streaming Netflix. The kids watch much less now, and we have better control over what they see.

I, for one, still don’t watch it. A movie with the kids every few weeks and that’s it. I’d rather read a book....

It sounds like the behavior was what you'd expect from people with no values, personality or morality of their own. Everything they are is written by people they usually don't even know, and like the good little phoneys they are, they are just reading from a script. The newscasters & even the weather casters are the exact same way. No substance of their own, just read the script. They are the true mental cases, and I'm simply being polite with that minimal remark. There is no reality in the entertainment industry anymore, It's all fake.

Somebody help me off'n my soapbox here, I need a drink...
