No not that kind, this kind.......

In a effort to save time, which I have little of each week for the shop, usually only 10-12 hours per weekend, I tried a something different last Friday night after work. Normally I grind, shape and profile one blank at a time, may do one or two blanks in a session, this time I cut out and basic shaped four blanks then C-clamped them together and did the grind, shape and profiling as one. Was a little scary at times, screw up four instead of one but everything turned out OK. Did the same thing last night with three Twin blanks, I know bad name but I can't figure out a good one, everything worked great, finished them today, drilled scale and lighting holes in the tang, polished to 220 grit, heat treated and tempered them. Currently I have 5 blanks on the bench completed and awaiting a little clean up, blade grind, polish and scales installed. Big help and time saver doing things in batches, hopefully as I progress and grow in skill level I will be able to do more processes in batch form. Better feeling completing several knives a short time frame instead one every few weeks to month.
