CMP 1911

The CMP is developing their sales policies, requirements, and procedures for the much anticipated release of Army surplus 1911s. They have created a 1911 Sales Page on the CMP web site at https://thecmp.org/cmp_sales/1911-information/ . There is a lot of opinion on their sales policies but I won’t engage in that. Pricing is still to be determined during a 150 day inspection period after the pistols are actually turned over to CMP. It is interesting as I love the history and proud tradition represented in this but I’m afraid the frenzy for the first year’s allocation of 10,000 pistols will make this a very short window to respond. We’ll see how this all pans out over time.
