If you're thinking about SK's Bison grips.......

Back in August of 2002 I bought a pair of 200+ year old Walrus grips from Scott and several years later put them on a full house Novak customized lightweight Colt Commander. I carried that gun constantly until I sold it back to its original owner two years ago. Over the years, he's been like a brother to me and I let him have it for what I originally gave him for it.

Scott charged, if memory serves, about $100 for the grips, but I got $475 for the Walrus grips, about what the going price of ivories were at the time.

I have not talked to Scott in a long time, so called him today to catch up and to let him know I wanted a set of his soon-to-released Vintage Bisons. He also said it was okay with him if I posted a copy of his Aug 17 2002 delivery letter as well as his unsolicited followup email dated Oct 27 2002.

"Don't sell them for $300, there worth quite a bit more than that..." ----Thanks, Scott!!!!

Norman, Sorry for the shotgun post, I just didn't know which was good and wanted you to get this message.

Turns out you are a lucky man. In my quest to find more walrus like I made for you, I contacted the old gentleman that I got it from--he's 80+ years old. Turns out he aquired that 30+ years ago and its fossilized Walrus Ivory. Nor being very familiar with walrus, I thought it was just well ages, a 100 years old or so--turns out it was dug up in Alaska and is over 20,000 years old! Its even illegal to purchase anymore. Since this was aquired prior to all bans, your OK. To put a value on those--The skies the limit. Don't sell them for $300, there worth quite a bit more than that--definately on of a kind and probably impossible to replace.

Just thought you may want to know.
