I was able to build up a lot of reloading components prior to the election. No regrets there.
My work is busy, which limits my shooting, but I'm grateful to be busy. I see the retired guys spending a lot of time at the gun clubs. Hopefully, they are enjoying it.

Actually, not a single gun since
I am within sight of the end of my customer revolver journey. I even let a few go that I had picked up just for grins and giggles. I also sold most all of my stashed custom parts like rebored barrels and special hammers and triggers. Dustin should finish his contribution to my custom revolver quest this summer and that will wrap it up. Time to sell my business and start taking some time to shoot and hunt again.

I have one of these customized (new barrel, stock, sights, etc.) and converted to centerfire. It's now a .22 Hornet. Quite a nice job, but not a mark on it to tell me who did the work.

I wonder why they took a 1922 to sporterize it? Why not an 03? Nicely done though it was a rare action to foster that project.

That was a pretty common custom project in the pre-WWII and immediate post-WWII era. Griffin & Howe, among others, did a number of them and they bring a nice four-digit sum today, more if engraved by one of the better known engravers which did G&H's engraving work.
I really like mine and I didn't pay G&H prices for it, but the shop where I bought it had no information on who had done the work and I can find no markings on the gun at all.
Guess I'll just have to admire it and be thankful I was lucky enough to stumble across it.

Very few things in the collec...err, "pile" were sought out with planning and intent. You have some neat pieces in your want list and, if found with the proper 'jingle' in the pocket, would be welcome here.
What I should do though is to spend more time and dollars on the projects already accumulated rather than picking up more or other guns. Some need just a little, some need a lot but there's likely more waiting that any sane feller should have.

I know how much you love your projects...most of the time!
I don't really enjoy working on them as much as finding them and shooting. Working on them...not so much but that's a conflict with my interests in older guns.
I really enjoy shooting vintage pieces. Vintage is relative but I really like the pre-war quality. I had a lot of experience in that subject prior to my Africa trip. While I don't want to start collecting again, I have considered selling some of my newer guns and picking up a few older pieces here and there. They interest me far more than the new guns. When I pick up a gun publication, I just can't get excited about most of the new stuff.

There's an abundance of wonderful new arms out there. Likely an "embarrassment"...maybe more apt. Still, I don't visit gun stores unless the have at least some sort of used rack. Even the ugly old ones interest me.

A 12 Bore and a 22 to round out the "arsenal". Shucks, I'm ready to settle for a 12 Gauge (difference? in MY mind the 12 Bore is a classic double, the 12 Gauge is a more modern action).
The good news is, there's a rumor that the Army Store folks brought in a shipment of Berettas, including the Belmonte which appears to be a Benelli inertia type action semi-auto, and they are actually almost "affordable" (being a relative term). If we can chase down the proper channels and find a way to get 'er done, that'd just leave the 22 portion to fill out.

I rarely see the USFA guns (besides Rodeos) and that's a shame because they are really nice. I hate that the company went out of biz as I really liked my Flattop Target and wanted 1/2 dozen other guns they made. They had such a cool product line. What a waste of talent to see them go under.
As to TL Targets...of course!
