Has anyone here used or seen Kirinite?

It is a newer synthetic material used for knife handles (scales, hafts) and gun grips.

Eagle uses it, and it comes in a wild variety of colors, but the type I'm interested in would be the Ivory Kirinite, which has varying color and grain. Looking to put lipstick on my New Vaquero .44 Special.

This is called Oyster, and it should not appeal to me and yet somehow does.

Yes, used it on one knife for handle scales....

Kinda like a mix of plastics and resins, seems fairly robust, sands easy and buffs/shines up nicely.

I've seen various types on knife scales

Most of what I've seen doesn't appeal to me but I ahven't seen all of the patterns it comes in. I'm a micarta fan myself.

That is what I was looking for.....

.....someone who had seen it in person, like you and Gunner.

Freaky colors and swirls aside, the Ivory version is what I'm most curious about. Have you seen that? Is that what you didn't care for?

Haven't seen the ivory version, looked a while back and couldn't find any, this must be a new release. I was hoping to find some to use, kinda like the old Tru Ivory product line but for knives. I have tried the man made synthetic ivory, looks nice when done but very fragile until it is epoxied to the tang and makes the shop look like it snowed inside : (

I haven't seen it in person, but I like the look of that ivory colored version.
