I love cast iron cookware.

I have a Wagner Ware skillet that gets used all the time.

Is the interior of yours smooth? The current Lodge items seem to be pretty rough inside compared to the vintage cast iron. I have a friend in Iowa that makes a mean campfire lasagna in a newer Lodge dutch oven though, so I guess they work.

Yes, smooth inside

I have five cast iron frying pans, three are Lodge, plus this Dutch oven. Also have a no-name round bottom kettle with lid that sits on three stubby legs. Been many a mean bean soup and quite a few stews go through that pot.

Our kitchen stove is gas, and has a griddle in the middle. We use a Lodge press to make toast. Haven't owned a toaster in years.

I love cooking with cast iron.....

plated Griswold chicken fryer with lid. I wasn't going to bite at $150, and he didn't like my $50 offer.

My bro-in-law has a vast Le Creuset collection. That is a whole other level of cast iron dedication.

I've got a whole pantry of the stuff can't use anymore...

My wife's Endocrinologist told her to quit using it. Even replaced our camp kitchen. About the only thing we use it for anymore is to make cornbread. Can't make a proper cornbread without it.
