What kind of work?

by cubrock, Tuesday, February 21, 2017, 06:33 (2834 days ago) @ Gary G

There is supposed to be a guy in the Raleigh area who works on Glock frames. If you don't mind sharing what you want done, I'll pass the list around and see if I can find someone local to you.

Or, you can register on carolinafirearmsforum.com and ask yourself. You are welcome to drop my name. Good group of guys, mostly from NC and SC.

Are you in the Raleigh area?

My biz partner is from there and I sometimes get over there for work.

Used to be

I live in Hickory, now, which is about 2.5-3 hours west of Raleigh. GG and I used to get together every now and then back in the day. We had supper with MCassill before a deployment once, too, as he was going out from Fort Bragg. That was a fun evening.

Depends on the type of work you want done...

but Lew Gosnell out in California does great work on frame reductions. I've had him do one of my 19s and my 34. They end up pointing just like a 1911, have good texture to them, and he puts a beavertail on them.

His turnaround is usually a couple of weeks. he might be able to do it faster if an emergency, I don't know, I have not asked him that.

Drop me a PM or email if you're interested and I'll dig up his contact info.

I have called when he says and he is always doing something and says he will call back later and never does.

To be fair I was suppose to call at lunch one time and was busy helping one of my techs and could not call. So I text instead and he understood but did not call after I text saying I was free for rest of day and night per his instructions.

Sad since he is here in my town. Just in case you guys bookmarked his site. Will let you know if he comes around.......Will move on down the list.
