Any pistol caliber AR users?

I haven't been a fan in the past but options like the JP 9mm carbine are interesting. Anyone using a pistol caliber AR?

The ones that interest me the most are those setup for Glock mags. Ideally it would be converted later to SBR. That's a very quick handling carbine.

CAS Had a 45acp build he let me shoot years ago. It hit everything effortlessly . Zero recoil like pointing a flashlight. Was very impressive.

It had a barrel that looked like it should have been sticking out of the wing of an old fighter plane.

It was a CNC Gunsmithing / Thompson Machine grease gun mag lower with an Olympic Arms upper.

All totaled I had a good deal of money in it and was using it about once a year. So I sold it to finance an over/under sporting clays gun. The money ended up going towards my property taxes. And of course couple weeks later the state passes the so called Safe Act guaranteeing I could never replace it.

I had a CMMG 9mm that I recently sold. I was thinking on SBR'ing it but most of my 9mm ammo gets shot at a high rate out of my sterling!

I understand the draw for a Glock mag AR if you carry a Glock and plan in carrying the AR but I still think the Colt (Uzi) mag is the better way to go. It's designed as a 32 round mag, very sold construction, easy to load and also available in 25 rounders if you want a more compact package.

There are several companies that make apostol caliber specific lower, having a smaller more proportional mag well and the specific ejector already set up. A buddy built an SBR off of one (forget which manufacturer it was, but he likes it, especially with his can in it!

I know the Uzi mags are excellent (had an Uzi for awhile) but you can get the Glock 33 rd mags and have the compatibility with other Glock double stack mags. Just curious as to why you prefer the Uzi mag version? The biggest attraction to me (beyond quality of the JP gun) is being able to swap mags between carbine and pistol.

Like I said, they seem more durable to me than the extended Glock mags, are very easy to load and are standard at 32 rounds vs being a 17 rounder extended out for the G18.

That being said, I have owned a handful of 9 mm and .40 S&W Kel Tec SUB2000's and have had good luck with them. Honestly, my .40 S2K is what pushed me towards buying my first Glock! I keep the Carbine in my truck and had a pile of factory 15 round mags, so I figured I might as well get a matching pistol. I found a sheriff's ' trade in G22 at a local shop for a song and bought it up, eventually chopping the frame down to G23 length and have both as truck guns!

I'd like to see it made with modular mag well assemblies.
That way it could be setup to run Glock, or other popular double stack mags, at the choice of the owner.

The MPX is expensive, but there just might be one under the Christmas tree if I can get hold of one to shoot.

If Sig would just make it in 10mm Auto, I'd buy one today!

10mm Auto or maybe even 45 super?
If these are blow back actions, I wonder what kind of recoil spring/hammer spring combo would be required to get a 45 Super to run safely?

These aren't gas operated are they?
