Picture in the article shows the various magazines it is supposed to replace. The green follower mag is the one we were using in 2007. Takeaway from all this: Army Ordinance spent years developing a better magazine, which apparently doesn't work as well as a commercial off-the-shelf item that already existed. There's a broader lesson there that those who worship at the altar of government refuse to learn.
