When a plan comes together

Went to the range today, shot the Bisley 44, Bislley 45, Bisley 480, and the new Flattop 357. The load of 9.5 grains of Longshot over the NOE 290gr in the 44 was OK, 10 grains of Longshot in the 45 Colt with the RCBS 45-270SAA was excellent, Alliant 300-MP with the 180 grain NOE (mine drop at 188) shows great promise, just very loud, seems like the 1250ish and 1400ish velocity ranges were the best. The biggest surprise of the day was the load of 10.3 grains of Longshot over a 390gr bullet from my Mountain Molds blocks, I was trying to isolate which chambers were problematic, apparently the shooter is the biggest part of the problem, instead of finding a problem, with the gun, I found that all it really needs is a taller front sight, the exact opposite of the Flattop 357. I discovered by shooting 2 shots from the same chamber in a row, at the end of 10 shots, I had turned in the best group I have ever shot with this pistol, this pleases me every bit as much as the Flattop 357 does.

It surely is a joy when a plan comes together.
