This Day in History
The house near Defiance is still there and can be visited. The room Boone passed away in is fairly small by today's standards but was a decent sized bedroom for the time. The house is stone and has rifle ports built in. If you are anywhere near it is worth the visit for sure. That night Boone ate to much sweet potatoes and got indigestion. He went to bed early and woke up dead.
