what are your thoughts on it? Ya know that's a Glock right? :)

These are the times that try men's souls.

A lot of people have gone over to the "dark side" lately.

I can understand Rob's thinking.

Glocks... what can I say?

They are ugly but reliable... just like a caulking gun.

In fact, the ones I have shot have triggers just like my caulking gun.

But they go bang every time and do so a lot of times and that counts a lot.

(but they are still ugly)

It's my wife 21 year old Glock 23. and a newer slide

built to accommodate a RMR sight. With the co-witnessed sights this is a fast set up. with the red dot alone, a mere toy... I w going to try a Lone Wolf 9mm barrel in it next... it is fine in 40 but Jan and I can both shoot the 9mm better.
I have a M&P 9Mm coming, set up the same way. In addition, I have a G40 I am setting up the same way, for hunting. Still not a fan of the glock, they are easy to set up and I have them for holster making. The S&W M&P points much better for me and I like them better in general.

I had an M&P 9mm that was extremely IN-accurate, the slide chambered a round every time you slammed a magazine home less than very gentle and the trigger was atrocious. I liked how it looked and loved how it felt in my hand but I think I just got a lemon. If I ever get another polymer gun (besides a S&W Shield or XDs....a duty sized gun that is) it will either be another M&P or another XD9. The latter is the gun I never should have sold. It felt good, shot good, stone cold reliable and it's only crime was being plastic. I've since learned to appreciate the attributes of polymer pistols but unless Glock does a MAJOR revision of their grip to slim it down and make it substantially more ergonomic, I won't buy another one. Personally, I wish they would because they are so easy to work on and you can buy parts for them off Amazon. I should have sent my M&P back to S&W and had them fix it...at least give them a chance. I find it easy to get impatient with a gun that doesn't do what I think it should. I've been working on improving but I think I'm gonna be a work in progress for the rest of my life!

Shape of things to come...I see that Springfield now has...

...a new XD model out specifically set up for those sights with "high-irons" and pre-D&T'd for a dot mount and with bbl ready for a can.

Hey Bro...

I think one the grand-kids taped part of an old Viewmaster to your gun. Surprised you didn't catch it before taking the photo. You better get it off there or you'll never be able to see your sights.

That does look interesting...

Those sights do look interesting, not so sure about the plastic, gun-shaped-object it is attached to though.

:-) !!!

Yep... I saw Fermin Garza with a GREEN, G19 or 23 set up this way about 4 years ago, and just shook my head. Jeff Quinn was there and after shooting it a few times Fermin what he thought about the set up... Jeff says "with this set up, I think I could hit you right in the badge at 50 yards." Ole Jeffro ...
