Glock 17 front sight

Hey guys

I bought me a new Gen 3 Glock 17. After having several 9's I figured I try the Glock.

Dang thing is darn accurate for a stock autoloader. My problem is that the dirty thing shoots 5 inches high at 25 yards. Does anyone know the stock front sight height? I don't want to buy an aftermarket set (front and rear) and have the same problem. The gun shoots high with 115 grain. Not so bad with 124 but still high and really high with the 147.

What is odd is my handload of a 147 xtp over 5 grains of PP is spot on chronographing at 960 fps? I only have about 75 round fired through the thing so maybe it will settle down after several hundred rounds. Right now I'm sinking the front sight down in the rear notch to where the white dot is resting at the bottom of the notch. Kentucky windage being practiced in WV. I guess I could measure it myself. I would like a ramped serrated front sight that I can file down if needed.

Bob
