Shot into the Darkness

Dear Senator Portman, I am a seventy-year old Citizen of NW Ohio.

I have studied and absorbed, over a lifetime, the roots of how our country came to be, and the essential freedoms needed to keep it free. Please, vote down the Hysterical Lynch Mob proposals now being presented as a Media Imperative. The Auntie Movement is NOT a representative cross-section, to which everyone must Kowtow in panicked Obesience.

Does not ONE person in that hysterical mob, realize that a Government cannot live in your personal hip pocket, and protect you from humanity's normal percentage of aberrant minds and pure criminals? That is a 'percentage', that will ALWAYS be with us, regardless of legislation.

The Russian author, Alexander Solzhenitsyn, documented better than anyone else, the futility of daily living with , against which one was not allowed to defend one's self. "Thug Entitlement" is not our country's heritage. Senator Portman -- Please vote "NO" on this ill advised, and strong-armed sell-out of our Citizen's rights.
