Was simply reporting on the effectiveness of the particular controls for their intended function rather than promoting a technique. Like you note, always better to go with gross over fine motor skills in stressful situations.
Like you, I am not terribly impressed with the quality of the Walther. Dad reports that in the first outing, the battery cover broke off the laser and has been held with tape ever since. Probably not manufactured by Walther but indicative of the overall quality. We also have a P-22 which needs frequent attention to the barrel tightness.
