I have loaded exactly 1 (one) .38-55 cartridge case.
It was an experiment trying to simulate a 9.3x57R. I don't recall having any issues but then maybe necking them down to .366" helps a bit? Also haven't had any issues (yet) with .25-20's but both .32-20 and .44-40 taught me a lot about 'playing nice' with thin necks.
I do have an unremembered quantity and make of the 'short' .38-55 brass (2.080" IIRC) that is unsuitable to my needs. If you have interest, I can figure out what is there and what it's worth. Just holler. It'll save me having to buy a rifle just because there is brass....
