Honor Flight

My son got the opportunity to participate in his school district's Honor Flight program as an escort for a vet this year. They left for Washington D.C. at 3:45 this morning. He is absolutely having a ball. For all vets on this Board, if you haven't had a the opportunity yet, please grab it when you can. My son's veteran is my former middle school football coach. He and his brother (pictured) are both Vietnam combat vets. The kids really get a lot out of these trips and at least in my son's case, he has a new appreciation for the sacrifice necessary to protect freedom, having heard about it from someone other than his dad and grandfather.
