My custom plan is to take the Ruger M77 270 wcf my parents gave me as a Christmas present in 1979, and have it re-barreled to either 8 twist 6mm-06 or 8 twist 270.
Nothing extravagant, just a simple true up of the receiver and such, and a quality barrel install.
The 270 has a very loose chamber, and since I have another 270 in a Kimber Classic Select, the old Ruger gets a new tube.
