these little "vignettes" you post for us from time to time, of life in your world.

By the way, funny story. That photograph you sent me years ago of you standing in front of that cable stayed bridge in your community still hangs on my office wall. All of the people who worked back then are now long gone. All the new guys ask about the photograph and I just tell them "Oh, he's a guy who used to work here.""Now he inspects bridges in South America." "You come to work here, you never know where you'll end up!"

It's fun for me to see their reaction.
