That is the powder measure I have been using for many years...but only for pistol loads. For rifles I use an old Lachmiller; same kind of measuring mechanism and is smooth as well. Looks like you are getting ready for some hunting.

Both were eBay finds. The first was set up with a large, micrometer style adjustment. I couldn't get it down far enough for pistol charges and when I contacted RCBS, they pointed me to Modway to buy a smaller drum. The new drum was about what I paid for the powder measure! Me being cheap, I just kept plugging along with my Lee measure. I finally found a good deal on another a with the smaller drum so now I am
Set. I agree, they are great measures. Smooth, consistent and easily adjustable.

The Forster is very, very consistent. It is a shame it was discontinued, but Bonanza/Forster commands very little share of the reloading market. It is that old story, if you find something you like, buy two, because it will soon be discontinued. Well, I have my two, but I doubt you could wear this unit out anytime soon..

I am just starting with the CH, but it is basically an RCBS on steroids. The hopper holds a 1/2 pound of powder, and there is an optional hopper that will hold a full pound! I honestly had no idea it was so huge. I bought it based on the reports I had read about its accuracy. We shall see.....
