towards the future. Dreaming is free. :) Someday I hope to own a good, singleshot rifle and the 1885 is my first choice. A few years ago they had their Safari rifle in 375 H&H, but who am I kidding? The trajectory is similar to my beloved '06, but the recoil isn't what my retina needs. The 38-55 seems like a good choice of caliber as it could be handloaded to decent levels. I'm hoping to one day be able to make one more big game hunt, and hope to do so with a singleshot rifle. Time will tell. In the meantime I'm trying to get info together against that time.
