Why doesn't Ruger bring back their police carbine?

I would think their pistol caliber carbines taking their pistol magazines would sell like hot cakes these days. Finally handled a Hi Point carbine the other day - yuck! Balances like an armload of bricks and feels more like a club than a rifle!
