I kind a hate to admit this, but...

Yes, I do. My wife just completed a prehistoric Indian mural for the State Museum in the Polk building. I...well...posed as a model for several of the figures. The site that the new Sounds ball park is on, was a major Mississippian Indian salt making site. If you ever have reason to be in the Polk building, they just installed it. Also, if you look at the other ones, I posed for many of them. Not my finest hour, but you know what they say: "Happy wife; happy life!"

A little over 33 years ago, my wife was commissioned to paint all twelve murals for the "Prehistoric Indians of Tennessee" exhibit. They complement the Thruston Collection, which is part of the permanent exhibit. It's the reason we moved to Tennessee in '82. It took her two and a half years to complete them. Over the years, she's done murals for the Trammel Crow Company to commemorate Civil War battles, She was commissioned to do a portrait of Sequoyah for the Eastern Band of the Cherokees, there's a lot of her stuff around. She's been out in Texas the last week, there might be another long term project on the horizon, we'll see.

I think you said you work downtown, go check 'em out.
