Blue Dot and the 41 Mag

Have been using Blue Dot in the 41 Mag since the 90's. Read articles by Paco Kelly. He was a 41 Mag fan. He said Blue Dot was the champagne of gun powders for the 41 Mag. I never used as much as he did but have always used 12 Grains with a 210 Gr. cast. I never paid attention to the dire warnings that surfaced a few years ago about Blue Dot and the 41 Mag. Well I am almost out of my supply of Blue Dot and have not seen any in a few years. Have many other powders that will work but Paco's advice was spot on.

than I haven't got there yet.

However, I have noted a significant increase in powder availability as of late. In fact, I saw a 4 pounder of BD today at one of the LGS's. Hopefully it's an indicator for us all.

I am getting ads from CDNN for 22 ammo. Bricks for $39.00 for Thunder Bolt, Federal Auto Match 325 rounds for $34.00 (picked up 2 boxes for $17.00 a box Memorial weekend in Idaho Falls) and another brand for a brick a little over $30.00. Still very high but down a bunch from last year and much more available. I am in Wyoming monthly and I have been able to buy as much as I like of HP-38 and Tight Group. Will have to look more fo Blue Dot. I think we are slowly returning to normal. Hope those in power due not cause a panic again.

There will be another "run" on ammo and components.

The only question is exactly what will start it.
