I lucked into a Mini 14 from a friend who had acquired it in a trade a few years back. It was lightly modded exactly as I wanted, and I've never looked back. Stone reliable, and accurate enough to do what I need it to do every time. I cut my teeth on the M-14, and the AR platform just has never felt "right" to me.
