dealer. Davidsons shows them all allocated. It's not like this is a special run for Lipsey's or something...it's just a regular production gun. Very irritating. Still have a bit more money to raise but I'd like to at least have one in layawake.

I've been eyeing those as well but have resisted temptation so far. Buds went out of stock but Kentucky Gun Co still showing them in stock for around $760.

I'll give that a try...

BRIEF REVIEW

.45 COLT: SHOOTS WELL
.45 WINMAG: ALMOST AS WELL
.460 ROWLAND: BETTER THAN .45ACP.
.45 ACP: PICKY ABOUT AMMO PAST 10 YARDS. SHOOTS GREAT AT 7 YARDS WITH EVERYTHING.
.460 SUPER:KEYHOLES

GRIP HANDLES RECOIL WELL EXCEPT FOR ASHLEY'S 365 HH AT 1250 FPS (7-1/2"BARREL RATING) DOES JUS TUNDER 1100 FROM 4" REDHAWK.

BRIEF REVIEW

When I first saw this gun in the add from Ruger in my inbox, the first thing I thought was this might be a great platform for .45 Win Mag. I wondered how well it would shoot ACP's considering that long jump to the cylinder throats but was really hoping it would be a good vehicle for ACP's. If it doesn't do well with ACP's, I'm half tempted to replace a 4 5/8" Blackhawk convertible I let go once upon a time in a land of stupid decisions instead.

That's about how I felt.....

...about the grips and recoil too -- they work just fine, up until about 325s at 1100+ fps.
