Nobody seems to think the end of the world is nigh either. A lot of folks got all worked up last year about Open Carry but you rarely see anyone doing it. I imagine most of the folks that wanted to carry concealed got a permit. We've had concealed carry for 8 years.

It's goingb to be DODGE CITY , all over again!

The only people that will pay attention are the anti's and the carry folks, majority of people will not notice. What problem will people have that live on the KS side and work on the Missouri side of KC?

They will still have to obtain a CCW permit. I'm going to maintain mine for out of state travel. I figure it will also give some indicia of legitimacy to a jury should I face one for a self defense event as well.

Missouri recognizes the right to carry in one's vehicle. The only "problem" would be if one did not leave the weapon in the car.

So, we're going on 21 hours as I type this.

Tell me, how deep is the blood in the streets? Up to your ankles yet?

Quiet in my A.O. No reports of mayhem other than the usual tornado/extreme weather.

Tennessee CC permit law allows open carry by permit holders. I don't carry openly except around the place here, but it is not the least bit unusual around our small city to see holstered handguns. My wife and I were in line at Captain D's yesterday and the guy ahead of us had some kind of medium-sized auto in a strong-side holster. No one paid the slightest bit of attention. I guess we don't have our fair share of dithering idiots around here. Thank the Lord!

Kentucky has had open carry as long as I can recall and I am getting long of tooth.

Believe it or not concealed carry in KY was passed under a Demoncrat (Paul Patton as I recall). He was a Demoncrat from Pike County. He had a fellow Demoncrat named Kelsey Friend who was adamantly opposed to concealed carry.(from the same county BTW)

Things will be better there now... trust me. (I'm old.)
