Great cartridge but stay away from Remington brass
I have one I have shot for years, great gun, I think a 160gr Nosler Partition is all that rifle ever needs for big game in North America. I have taken several elk with the combo and it just plain works.
The only issue is brass, It is a bit hard to find and almost always what is available is soft Remington brass that survives 1 or 2 stiff loadings. If you find Norma or Winchester grab it, my standard load kills Remington brass in 2 loading (its not that warm either)but I am on about my 10th loading in Win brass and it is going strong still.
Enjoy, I also have a soft spot for No.1 rifles...
