A Colt Commander followed me home today

Went down to a shop I haven't been to in awhile and found this guy in the 1911 case

I've been thinking about a Commander for awhile and this one looked like a pretty decent deal. I have troubles with Gov't models biting my hands, but have heard the commanders aren't as bad. Last commander I had was eqquipped with a beaver tail so it wasn't an issue. This one shows a little holster wear and some surface rust on the rear aight and inside of the rammer ring, but no idiot mark! Plus, it's got good looking stocks, and a long trigger and flat MSH, so it's already set up like I like it. Hopefully I'll get to test it out soon.

A buddy and I went gunshop hopping yesterday. Found some brass and some Red Dot (which has been MIA for waaay too long) but, thankfully I think, didn't drag any new arms home. A little gem like that sure would have tempted....

Oooooh - you going to like dat, friend.

I scored one a bit older than yours a couple of years ago, and it quickly became a favorite carry piece.

Wonderful! Ok, so not that that is out of the way carry it

while you save up for a Concealed Carry Officer's (Lightweight) .45 ACP. That might really get you excited! Well, it did it for me. Short butt and lightweight of lightweight officer's model with commander topside makes a light, compact concealed carry piece that will actually be accurate at some decent range. I wouldn't have said anything but there is more wonderfulness out there... ;-)
