I *may* need to replace the cylinder on mine. Definitely need to go with the oversized cylinder stop/bolt but the notches may be too beat up to function properly.
So, a couple questions....
--Can the cylinder notches be salvaged? I assume yes by welding and recutting but that sounds both complex and expensive.
--Will a Model 25-x cylinder fit, at least nominally, in a 1937 frame?
The remainder of the pistol is nothing to write home about so sinking money into a full restoration is probably not in the cards. On the other hand, getting it up to shootable condition seems worthwhile.

I picked up an oversized bolt on the last Midway order. The frame slot is a bit wide so we'll attempt to tighten that up first. Then the cylinder will tell me if it needs attention or not. I have shot it as is and it seems to function well except for the rotational slop. The Wonder Sight at it's lowest setting still prints VERY high so it'll either be relegated to long range exercises or I might attempt to build up the front.
