Gun show tomorrow....have to hand a "Nikon 223" model 1x4 scope. Setting up on a 16 1/2" upper for ditch and field walking up woodchucks -- 15" to 200yards, and most about 100. Also getting a set of those 45" offset iron sights, to see how they work out, My Trophy winnin' nephew says he likes 'em, and having been club champ on assorted Tack-y competitions, I listen.

So....since there is everything from 3rd World tin, to The Real Stuff.....whatever you may contribute will be read, thank You,

All my ARs wear Burris PEPR mounts/rings. They work well for me, aren't too heavy and are rugged. Don't cost an arm and a leg either.

+1 to Burris PEPR mounts/rings

They are extremely rugged, and work well, and as stated, don't cost an arm and a leg...

LaRue mounts are the best, but pricey.

Checkout the lightweight one piece mount from Aero Precison.

I have one, very nice and not heavy and bulky like a lot of mounts.
