There was a 'net discussion about a rifle like this recently but I disremember where and when it was seen. Not entirely sure how this'un works but it appears that the .22 is fired by the sliding bit under the bolt shroud, maybe? Anyway, it sure is a neat piece!

Oh my.

Very interesting!

I'd like to see that in operation. Also, kinda wondering what the barrel length is on the .22...

Just proportioning the picture...

it appears to be a bit more than 1/3 of the '06 barrel. Of course, with a 24" main tube, that'd be about an 8-9" .22 barrel. Kinda like having the long Single Six strapped to the fore-end.

Hmmm. Sounds like it could be more than slightly illegal unfortunately!

Wouldn't that be a SBR?

by Hobie ⌂ @, Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Thursday, April 09, 2015, 09:27 (3456 days ago) @ Hoot

Sure the .30-06 is the legal length but not the .22 LR barrel. Not that it matters in practical terms due to the .30-06 barrel but legally...

Most people have no clue about the NFA.

This one is interesting in that it might get a 'pass' if from the TFB and get removed from the NFA due to 'curioness'

Jeremy Watts could make one on a long weekend. Very cool!

Definitely looks pretty cool, but wonder about the legal ramifications. Would definitely like a letter from the BATF saying they have no problem with it, or maybe pay the NFA tax for a SBR?

Agreed.

But, I'd bet you could ask 2 ATF agents and get at least 3 opinions!

If...

I could get one that made sense, and I liked, in writing, that would be good enough for me.

Vunder-ful!! Thanks for that one...

Chemuns--das goot, ja?

I don't care if it's legal or not, it is very well done!
