tad uncomfortable...BUT I bought the 40, knowing it would probably be going to a friend's wife that lives on a remote ranch and they already have several 40S&W caliber. guns (She likes having it she ran into a Mountain Lion on a sheep kill and kept it at bay with rocks.) Now, she has an better resource.
So yeah ammo compatibility is nice.
