More trouble in Mexico

A 70 mile stretch along the Mexican border just across the river from my part of the world has been shut down by "rolling gun battles". Credible reports say about 150 dead in gunfights between Matamoros and Reynosa.

Remember what Dirty Harry said?

“Nothing wrong with shooting as long as the right people get shot." One group of drug thugs vs another. In reality the vast majority here will qualify as "good riddance".

Thanks Charles keep us posted.

hopefully that won't slop over on the I-35 drug corridor on this side.

For some reason

For some reason we're just not seeing this sort of thing on the news. If ABC doesn't report it, does it really happen? Hmmm... need coffee.

The Mexican press does not report on drug violence either. They will be killed if they do, so it is not surprising ABC has nothing on it. What little information coming out of Mexico comes by social media and a few blogs that are still posting, but on this side of the river. Bloggers in Mexico are killed if they post about drug violence.

Remember Adolf Hitler called the media his "propaganda machine" I'm ashamed that I have trouble trusting any so called "news" these days. Lots of things go unreported or over reported depending on who's reporting. Ever since 9-11 we have been in a 24-7 news culture and sensationalism draws viewers. The only real truth is found in Gods word, I trust in Him and choose to not lean on my own understanding.
