I just watched "Flags of our Fathers" and I am an emotional wreck. Somehow I always identified with the Greatest Generation". A very moving experience for me for sure.

My wife and I saw it last night.
Great movie, well done Clint Eastwood!
It's a profoundly moving movie that gives a good glimpse of the things our service-people and their families go through.
We live in a National Guard base town, and know a good number of the families of National Guard folks who have been on multiple deployments. It is rough on families, I pray the VA gets cleaned up and finds ways to better care for the vets and their families. Our military has run these folks through the ringer with 14+ years of war.

Wife and myself saw it on Sunday. Went on Saturday but it was sold out. Bought tickets for it right then for the Sunday performance. It was a very quiet theater right up till the end. Very good movie. I read the book last year and wish Clint would have included more of Cris's views of the people in Iraq. He referred to them as savages more frequently then in the movie. Also, the attempt of traning the Iraqi Army that they just could on do.
