400 CorBon isn't hotter than good 10mm, but would be easier to convert a .45ACP gun to it. But along the same line you could convert to .45Super or .460 Rowland and those are hotter. I'm not sure if the superior ballistics of .460 Rowland would hold past 100 yards considering better ballistic coefficient of 10mm.
