Some of my local friends consider me to 'know a lot about guns'. My reply is something like this: "Thanks for thinking that, but the fact is, I just have known a fair bunch of folks -- who actually do know 'a whole lot about guns'."

There's enough leads and suggestion here, to keep me busy.45'ing until early spring. deciding on the specs and the model. I am tending toward a shorter bbl, and lighter weight, as the .45 Rifle carries the 'distance'. However, I've learned, never say never in this biz. Chances are that chance will dictate the right piece at the right time. And I'll know it then, because of info y'all have started me with here.

In meantime, happy hunting...and stay warm. We're chill-factored at Zero tonight, and even the Chessies are happy to snuggle in 'til morning. Tho', the 10 mo-old young female is having a fine time being an indoor mouser, as the little varmints come into our old country store building, to exscape the cold. Trots 'em over to me, proud as cat...

Think I'll go review the closet herd before bedtime..ya know...just in case a little oil or wax needs to be applied, or sights need to be checked to make sure they still align,
