McKinney, Little Elm, Frisco and Mobile Home Advice....

A pretty off topic question but hoping maybe some of you can give some good advice. My wife drives a package car for UPS and she's being transferred from DFW airport to the new McKinney hub they are building. That's a pretty long drive from Kennedale and we're thinking of moving. The homes in McKinney and nearby cities seem to be pretty high priced compared to ours here in the southern area of the metroplex and we'd really like enough land to be able to shoot on. Getting into the smaller towns like Anna, Melissa, Van Zandt, etc. we are finding some good properties in the 130-150k range but most of them have mobile homes on them. My grand parents lived in a mobile home in Conroe most of my life and it's still standing but I do kinda worry about it. I'm hoping some of you who do or have lived in them might be able to give me some advice pro or con. And, if you live in that area of Texas anything you want to offer about those towns, taxes, good city, bad city, etc would be greatly appreciated as well.
