And the more semi-autos I mess around with, the more convinced I am that Bill Jordan and Elmer Keith had it right. The only semi-auto that I've gotten along with right out of the box, with nary a problem-EVER-is my P226 Elite. The slide is loose enough it rattles if you shake it but it is very accurate and has never bobbled. My 4" GP100 is way more comfortable to carry though and it has never balked either:)
