XDs owners - a question

I have 425 rounds through my XDs 9 and about a doz or so times I have actually had to pull the trigger forward to make it reset because it did not do it on its own when the slide cycled from firing. Anyone else having a trigger reset problem ? I cleaned the gun several times during the initial shooting and ball ammo doesn't get it very dirty. I could live with the long, creepy, heavy trigger and that it shoots 1.5" low @ 7 yds, but the reset problem is a no go for me. I just sent Springfield an email on the problem and I'll see what they have to say. Comments welcomed....
Pre or post recall gun?

When was the recall ?
IIRC….
….part of the reason for the recall was guns going cyclic when the trigger didn't return (though I think it was some odd thing you had to do to make it happen.)

And the more semi-autos I mess around with, the more convinced I am that Bill Jordan and Elmer Keith had it right. The only semi-auto that I've gotten along with right out of the box, with nary a problem-EVER-is my P226 Elite. The slide is loose enough it rattles if you shake it but it is very accurate and has never bobbled. My 4" GP100 is way more comfortable to carry though and it has never balked either:)

Revolvers are great and I shoot them a lot. As for Semi-autos, I have an XDm 9 5.25 that has 17k rounds through it without any gun malfunction. I'll see what SA has to say regarding the XDs.

I thought about one in .45 but they are a bit on the large side. Still be a fun gun to have around but I know I don't need any more toys:)
I also have one in 45 ACP and it does not seem that much

Mainly just too large for a carry gun. Be a great night stand gun though.
