Liberia and Ebola

My wife is a doctor specializing in Infectious Diseases. She got a call from Samaritan's Purse to go to Liberia to help with the Ebola outbreak. She's been there 3 weeks, and will be there another 3. I got a call from her last night. She wanted to tell me what was going on before I saw it on the news. One of the Samaritan's Purse doctors in Monrovia, Liberia and another health care worker have been infected with the Ebola virus. They are being airlifted to Geneva for intensive treatment. Keep them and their families in your prayers.

Samaritan's Purse told the rest of the health team they didn't have to stay, but Vicki has elected to stay. She is in Foya, Liberia and feels safe with their safety procedures. Please keep her and the other health care workers in your prayers, too. It's a worrisome thing, let me tell you.
