I just finished reading this book. It is the story of the Big Red One on D-Day at Omaha beach. Very sobering but an excellent book. Amazing courage of those soldier on Omaha beach that day. I can't even wrap my mind around what it would have really been like. These men truley were the "greatest generation" and sadly time has taken most of them and their stories from us........

Anyway, I would highly recommend this book to any that are interested.. In fact, I'd be happy to send my copy on to any who would like to read it. It can be a traveling book within our community if people are interested....
