He also owned a Colt Camp Perry and one of those monster .45-70 revolvers that were being built way back when. Nice guy who was very indulgent to a gun crazy kid.

I don't recall what I used in the search engine to find this little gem, but my experience is that Gunbroker's search engine is quite bad, and I try variations and misspellings a LOT. Oh, that was the opening bid too. I bid $600 just to ante up, and thought it might go a lot higher. But in my head I kept thinking it was going to stay right there, something about the way it's listed isn't a standout.
