Opinions, please.

Thanks in advance.

For you personally or someone else?

I have had a Single Six for over 30 years. Excellent handgun. My son just bought the Bearcat Shopkeeper model. The Bearcat is a sweet little fun shooter, very compact but fixed sights. If it is for backyard plinking etc. I would say Bearcat. If you want something that is a more serious shooter I would go Single Six with adjustable sights. For a "fun" carry gun I'd almost carry that birds head grip Shopkeeper but definitely not for "serious" social work.

Wait, just a bit, for a cool Single Six...

Bearcat or Single Six?

Think of the Single-Six as the K22 of the single-action offerings and the Bearcat as the S&W M34 Kit-gun, albeit with fixed sights. The Bearcat is fun but more challenging to shoot well. The Single-SIx is every bit a game-getter type handgun and at reasonable ranges.

As to quality, both are Rugers, so no problem there.

Bearcat or Single Six?

Single Six. I have mine set up with the magmum cylinder since I picked up a Buckmark for long rifle shooting. Two cylinders seals the deal.
