17 HMR revolvers?
I am always a dollar short and a day late. In the past both Ruger and Smith and Wesson made a great 17 HMR revolver. The Ruger Single Six Hunter and the Smith and Wesson 617 were made for a relatively short period of time. I recall them in some local gun shops but never went for them.
Then they are discontinued and I discover a niche for their use. I do some hunting on state lands in Connecticut and Rhode Island where you are limited to rimfire rounds. The 17 is considered to be under 22 lr for some reason thus you get added power out of a handgun.
I search Gun Broker now and then and see some Hunters and 617's for sale. My question is how high would you pay for either one? Thanks.
