Winchester M1 Garand, #1812206 - issued to me in 1960 at Central High School in Chattanooga, TN. Used it both years I was a troop - third year I wuz a officer and didn't get a rifle. Always wondered what ever happened to that rifle. School is not even there anymore.
Every time I see a Winchester M1 I automatically check the serial number. If I ever run across 1812206, I'm gonna buy it no matter how much it costs.
