What's the word on Dan Wesson revolvers...

I've wanted one since I started getting serious about shooting in the 80's and just never took the bait. I still want one (in 357 Magnum). Armslist seems to have a bucket full of them for $500-$600 in good condition. Kinda surprised as I figured they'd bring a bit more than that. CZ/Dan Wesson says on their web sight that late summer they are going to resume production on the 715 and grips, barrels and shrouds from the 15-2 model and newer will fit it. Kinda pricey but I like it. If it's strong and accurate, it should do what I want...hunt game and steel plates, maybe some silhouette shooting. Thoughts?

Undervalued on the market for what you get. Dan Wesson revolvers were king in the silhouette game for many years. They are strong and very accurate. You can't go wrong with one.

my son and i both have them; i have the stainless vent heavy

pistol pac with all 4 barrels; got that one in 82 and it is my favorite 357. i have the 44 mag set as well, and so does my son.

terrifically accurate. rugged , strong, and have never had a problem ...finally tracked down a 22 set for each of us as well.

It would be nice if they start...

Producing both calibers again. I'd love to have both 357 and 44 with both a 4" and 6" barrel each. I may just have to start scouring the used gun market!

i will keep an eye out for you. i like the four inch

barrel; and the eight inch barrel balances really well with that frame, and lets you snap shots off fast and accurately.

EWK arms makes replacement barrel assemblies and his stuff is top notch. he also makes the barrel tools, etc

They were called the Sentinel II. I saw one yesterday at a show for $350 with a 2.5" barrel. I was very tempted.

Article on DW's in the current Handloader, coincidently.

Cool, I'll have to search one out...

I need to renew my subscription to HL. It was the last magazine I subscribed to and I don't have much time to read them anymore so they just pile up unless there's a really good article on something I'm interested in. I really wish they'd do an e-subscription. They have the online but last time I checked you had to log in on line to read them. I would love it if they'd do something you could download to iBooks or Newsstand on my iPad so I could read them offline.

I appreciate all the info guys...

I may start by trying to search out a clean used stainless 44, preferably with a 6" barrel and see how we get along:)
