Another "McGivern Model" Pre-War Outdoorsman Turns Up

Another of these rare 5-inch guns in turned up on GunBroker recently.

It was listed in "about 80%" condition and sold for $2,260.

Some may recall the 'first' of these discussed a while back @ TOS. (The topic was the name "McGivern Model" given to these 5-inch guns.)

That one is listed in "very high percentage" condition and still available for a cool $6k ($6.5k for "Buy It Now").

It will be interesting to see if one sale affects the other. (Unlikely, perhaps, given the point spread but still possible...)

Meantime, the name still holds. :-D

The metal looks great, but the wood grips have a big chip or dent in them. That should knock off some percent of condition points.

That is just too sexy. If I found one of those cheap enough to afford, I'm afraid it would be destined for a holster from time to time. :)
